Tension in Ukraine builds as convoy of 60 unmarked military trucks carrying hundreds of soldiers heads for Crimea as pro-Russian troops fire warning shots at peace monitors
- Convoy of 60 vehicles carrying hundreds of troops spotted in Crimea
- Vehicles were unmarked by registration plates suggest they are Russian
- Another convoy was tailed to a military base which was flying Russian flag
- Ukrainian military reports up to 200 vehicles landed from boats last night
- Warning shots have also been fired at international soldiers
- Troops were trying to enter Crimea but were told they had no authorisation
- Meanwhile Sergei Lavrov said crisis was ‘created artificially’
- He denounced the Ukrainian government as right-wing radicals
- Ukrainian plane came under fire flying at 3000 ft near border with Crimea
- Russian warships blockaded Black Sea, where Ukrainian navy is docked
- There are now estimated to be 30,000 Russian troops in Ukraine
