Dear Beloved Brethren, Sabbath Greetings.
Once again we come to that day of God set aside for mans spiritual and physical rejuvenation, the seventh day of the week: Duet 5:12-15,
12 Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee. 13 Six days thou shalt labor, and do all thy work, 14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God. In it thou shalt not do any work: thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates, that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou. 15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm; therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
Let us also remember what this day was for and what it means to God’s people scattered worldwide, a sign between Him and His spiritual people, the Church, as well as His physical people of Israel Exod 31:13 and Exod 31:17: “It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed”.
It is a day also reminding us that God is creator and who sustains the physical material universe. Combine this with the fact that, this is a day which is a forerunner of the 1000 year millennial rest for the people of God in His Kingdom set here upon the Earth, it begins reveals a picture of the giving of the Sabbath day by God, to be a monumental act of His love and mercy and a weekly sign post for the Christian journey through a dark and sinister spiritually empty and dangerous wilderness, where one could so easily get lost and travel in circles or run aground unless this beacon of light on top of the light house pulsates on a weekly basis to show the way. The people of the Church of God therefore stand on solid ground and are secure and sure footed in the direction they are heading. Not stumbling and tripping and fearful of the direction these uncertain, terrible, dark and evil times we are heading in these end of days as we approach the great tribulation, to be followed by the day of the Lord.
On the other hand, the world today is ablaze with fear and uncertainty as it heads headlong into a massive storm of swirling clouds of darkness driven by the turbulent evil winds of change, where worldwide activities are sucked into the an irresistible vortex of perdition’s end. In every country and throughout all continents the wrath of anger and a spirit of evil permeates the hearts of men which reaches out to harm every soul that has the breath of life. No one is exempt, no one is immune, not even kings and princes, nor the super rich and powerful or elite, nor politicians and especially not the men of war. The poor are not immune, nor the freedman nor the slave, for the spirit that drives and the spirit that inspires and moves the carnal mine are one and the same. For evil abounds in every corner and every crevice, in all the fields and all the plains, on the mountains and in the valleys and in every gorge. Nowhere has this evil spirit spared its grip on human kind to warp the human heart that runs with flowing living blood, yet is icy cold and hard as rock that spill his brothers blood upon the earth which than cries out,” How long or Lord thy vengeance comes”.
Brethren, look around, you’ll find no rest of soul nor serenity or peace of mind, no love abounds among God’s own much less in Satan’s world . But, of those who rule over the sons of man scheme and plan and seeks the council of his friend, on how to kill, better still to murder there is no end. War upon war, hunger to famine, disease and sickness and finally death is what is seen and covers all lands far and wide. Men hunger for war more than food and for peace there is no craving at all, not even a thought. They hunger for greed, yes they hunger for greed to satisfy their hearts desire, for power and rule and riches and land they have, but its never enough, they want the world to rule and crush at their delight and than thank Satan for this gifted sight. They would rather give their soul to burn in the flames of hell rather than give a helping hand to God’s creative work, the human soul in God’s on form.
Brethren, evil abounds and schemes are planned and for conspiracies there is no end, for the Chief author of it knows but that his time is short and yet his strongest desire is to still strive to destroy first the holy people of God, as well as all the tribes of Israel and finally the world. As we live and are entering in these end times it is vitally important to be watching and praying and staying close to God to give us insight and direction for His church will have made herself ready at the time of the marriage of the lamb. But for now we must strive and overcome boundaries and differences and walls of division set by men and not God if we are to make headway toward the kingdom of God. Do we fear the God of Love by whose will we exist or do we fear mortal men and his rattling tongue that so easily persuades the lowly heart to submit itself for the division of the body? We can and we must say no to tyranny that comes from every quarter and very pulpit that seeks to divide and weaken the body of Christ and cause His little one to stumble, whether in the body or outside the body in Satan’s realm. But, let this be done without sin, which requires the wisdom that comes from God Himself. For the body of the church is one just as God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ are one. For Ephesians 4:4-7 says; “4: There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5: One Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6: One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. 7: But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ”.
And if God commands us thus, who are we to argue and go against His Word. The holy scriptures are full of admonitions for unity and harmony and peace in the one spirit and in the one body; and we are also commanded not to heed the spirits that cause divisions but to test them, I John “4:1: Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world”. And Christ warned us they will come in sheep’s clothing. How shall we be unified when we are so divided? Once the realization that there must be unity in the body of Christ comes than God will do the rest, but than when the way is shown one must act. For God will spew out those who are divided, fighting and separating His people and keeping them apart, and He does not delight in the fearful and cowardly. And who are His people, the called out and chosen ones? Not, and I repeat not any corporate cog group but those who have the indwelling of God’s Holy Spirit, Rom 8:9-11; “9: But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10: And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11: But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you”. And who may or may not be physically scattered.
The point being stressed is Unity in every way, which may and most likely will include stepping out in faith. The people who are united in Christ and did not deny His name and who kept His command to persevere will be the ones who go to the place of safety of God’s choosing, Rev 3:8-10; “8: I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9: Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10: Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth”. Laodiceans will not be going to the place of safety prepared for the Philadelphian remnant.
The time has come, the Lords day is almost upon us, our God is responding to the Angle who said how long or God before this things take place, Dan 12:6-7; “6: And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? 7: And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished”.
Our God is standing up and raising His fist at His rebellious creation and is trumpeting aloud, ” There will be no more delay, fulfill the law and the prophets and let the curtain fall and bring it to an end”. We are now almost there as end time prophetic events are unfolding at a frightening pace to finally bring in the fulfillment of the last book of the bible, Revelations. The first beast, a beast of fortress and of power is rising out of the sea before our very eyes, as well as the second beast coming up out of the earth. Mystery Babylonian, the mother of harlots, is arrogantly raising her head to challenge the world and gather her daughters from one end of the earth to the other. She is forming her army and building the mighty battle machine through the first beast to do battle with her enemies and finally with our returning Christ, The Lord of lords and king of the ages and our High priest.
Knowing these things are coming brethren what sort people should we be and what should we be doing to be found worthy to escape these things to come and through the grace of God enter into His Kingdom? We must be diligent in holy conduct and godliness and be found by Him in peace, without spot or blemish or divided, and watching and enduring and overcoming and keeping the faith and the way to the end, praying always to that end. And as we observe God’s Sabbath day, lets be mindful of all the things of God Almighty.
